Our Experience
Shawn Fort is a highly accomplished construction professional who previously held the position of Deputy City Manager for the City of Princeton, TX, where he oversaw six essential departments and managed a team of 30 dedicated full-time employees. With over two decades of experience in the construction field, including 16 years in Senior-Level management roles within municipal government, Shawn brings a wealth of expertise and qualifications to the industry. A native of the DFW metroplex area, Shawn's career began with a solid educational foundation in Computer-Aided Drafting, which paved the way for his success in the construction industry. His journey led him through the domains of Land Surveying and Civil Engineering, where his passion for community development and infrastructure planning flourished, ultimately propelling him into municipal government. In November 2007, Shawn embarked on his municipal government career with the Village of Ruidoso, NM, demonstrating exemplary leadership, visionary thinking, and a relentless dedication to serving the community's best interests. His tenure in various Senior-Level management roles showcased his commitment to excellence. In November 2013, Shawn returned to Texas and found an exciting opportunity with the City of Princeton, TX, where he served as the Deputy City Manager and previously served as Building Official & Development Director. In these roles, he played a vital role in shaping the city's evolving landscape, contributing significantly to its growth and development. As Deputy City Manager, Shawn wore many hats, overseeing crucial departments integral to the city's functioning and growth. His strategic vision, effective communication, and collaborative approach were pivotal in ensuring seamless operations and fostering a productive work environment for his team. Throughout his tenure with the City of Princeton, Shawn also served as the project manager for all City Capital Improvement projects, overseeing the construction of over $20 million worth of projects at any given time. His expertise as an inspector, holding multiple certifications from the International Code Council in various fields, ensured the quality and compliance of these projects. As a multifaceted leader with extensive experience in both the construction industry and municipal government, Shawn Fort continues to make significant contributions to the development community in the North Texas Area. His unwavering dedication to excellence and genuine passion for community development make him an invaluable asset in driving progress and shaping the success of any project he is associated with.
